Barrett, Wylie - Wing Commander (Retired) - The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Monday, November 19, 2007, of Wylie Barrett, formerly of Darby Drive, St. Eleanors, aged 94 years. Veteran of the Second World War. Born in St. Eleanors, he was the son of the late Joseph Frederick and Olive (Murray) Barrett. Survived by his children Fred (Claire), Oakfield, NS; Nancy Canham, Charlottetown; Archibald "Archie" (Patricia), Linkletter Road; Ian (Donna), Fairview; by thirteen grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren; sister Hazel Sears; and by sisters-in-law Shirley and Bernice Barrett. Predeceased by his wife Ruth (MacKay) Barrett; brothers Claude and Everett; and by sisters Ida and Freda.

Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside. Visiting hours for Wylie’s close friends and family will be held on Thursday from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m. with a private family service to follow. Interment in Peoples Cemetery, Summerside. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Trinity United Church or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
