Charles Arthur Wood

Wood- The death occurred at the Halifax Infirmary, Halifax, on Thursday, July 29, 2010, of Arthur Wood, of Summerside, aged 87 years. Veteran of World War II. Born in Toronto, ON, he was the son of the late Henry and Caroline “Carrie” Wood. Survived by his wife Nora (Kavanagh) Wood; son John Wood; daughter Carol Brown; granddaughters Tracy (Mark) McKillop, Angie (Kenny) Blanchard, Debbie (Ronny) Ramsay; great-grandchildren Dylan Ramsay, Samantha and Abby Blanchard; step-great-grandchildren Nathan and Natasha; and by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by son-in-law Edward Brown; brothers Harry, Gordon, Dick and Victor in infancy; sisters Ruth, Mabel, Grace, Olive and Ethelene. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, where funeral service will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. Visiting hours Monday from 2-4 p.m. only. Memorial donations to the Salvation Army would be appreciated. Members of the Summerside Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion will hold a Service of Remembrance, at the funeral home, Monday afternoon at 1:45 p.m.
