CHIASSON - To the one who shed light, love, learning and laughter Anne May Chiasson (nee Murphy) November 29, 1925: on Wednesday, March 22, 2017, Anne left us "Sweet dreams to one frank, interesting, lively human being." She was a member of IODE, Red Cross, Opimium Society, Bridge Clubs, PEI Music Educators Association and PEI Music Festivals. She invigorated any group she joined. In addition to these diverse pursuits, she was a loving mother and grandmother to and survived by children Monique, Christophe, Elaine (Victor), Annette (Jim), Paul (Makiko) and Alec and grandchildren Audrey (Ben)  and Allison. In her own words, "No children were loved more." She is survived by her brother Jack and many cherished nieces and nephews who were welcomed often at "the Farm" (,....and much merriment followed) where Anne and  Gabe spent their retirement years.  She was pre-deceased by husband Gabriel; her sisters Jean and Elaine and brothers Bill and Douglas. A Truro native, her fondest memories were of summers in Pugwash at Uncle Alec's farm where her curiosity and love of the outdoors were formed. The summer trip to Heather's Beach became a tradition she carried into her married life. A grad of Mount Allison University where she met Gabe, "Murph" was an organist and choral director who spent her career teaching elementary music in PEI. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Prince County Hospital Foundation or Prince County Hospital Palliative Care Unit would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to Moase Funeral Home, Summerside.
