Duguay – On Tuesday,
December 26, 2017, Rosalie (Matchett) Duguay, of Summerside, aged 71
years, passed away suddenly at the home of her daughter after having a
wonderful Christmas celebration. She was a charismatic, comical person
with many friends and loved ones who cherished the laughter she so
effortlessly brought into their lives. Her sense of humour and witty
demeanor will be greatly missed. She will now be resting alongside her
husband of 43 years, Roger Duguay. Born in Newcastle, NB, she was the
daughter of the late Norman and Mary (Keating) Matchett. Survived by
her daughters Tammy Armstrong and Krista Duguay; her beloved
grandchildren Chelsey Duguay, Jaden Moisan and Ethan Pierce;
sons-in-law Danny Armstrong and Darren Clow; her beautiful
mother-in-law, Kathleen (Swindon) Duguay; sisters Norma Simpson,
Brenda Matchett and Celine Matchett; brothers Bob and Arthur (Jeanie)
Matchett; and by multiple nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by
her husband of 43 years Roger "The Artful Dodger"
Duguay; brothers, Clayton and Allie Matchett; and by a brother-in-law
Bob Simpson. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside,
where funeral service will be held on Saturday, at 10:30 a.m.
Interment later in St. Paul's Cemetery, Summerside. Visiting hours
will be held on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until time of the
funeral. Memorial donations to the Canadian Mental Health Association
would be appreciated.
