Hayes – The death occurred at the Wedgewood Manor, Summerside, on Saturday, May 19, 2018, of Kathleen "Kay" Hayes, formerly of Summerside, aged 93 years. Born in Vernon River, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Acorn) Currie. Survived by her children Cindy (Frank) Coolidge, Sandy Hayes and Paula Mugridge; grandchildren Amanda Coolidge (Jeff Savage), Emily Coolidge, Jake Mugridge (Betty Lynn Callaghan), Kaylee Mugridge; great-grandson Ryder Coolidge; and by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Horace Hayes; brothers Joe (Eleanor) Currie and Alan (Vena) Currie; and by sisters Margaret (John) Cummings and Celia (Edward) MacLeod. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside. No visiting hours or funeral service by personal request. Interment in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Valley. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial donations to the PEI Humane Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
