Stewart- The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Wednesday, December 14, 2011, of Josephine “Grammie Jo” Stewart, of Summerside, aged 85 years. Born in Bay Head, NS, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Algreta (MacPherson) Lewis. Survived by her children Ronald (Betty) Stewart, Summerside; Lewis Stewart, Summerside; Ethel (David) Blanchard, Summerside; Diane (Gary) Gallant, Summerside; grandchildren Rona Stewart (Jane Crawford); Cheryl Stewart (Gary Ramsay); Wendy Lou Stewart; Krista (Terry) Arsenault; Laura Lee (Vern) Gallant; Julie Stewart; Kenny (Angie) Blanchard; John Gary (Michelle) Gallant; Adam (Tammy) Gallant; 12 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters Robert (June) Lewis, Woodstock, ON; Clayton (Kay) Lewis, Bass River, NS; Ivan (Meredith) Lewis, Bass River, NS; Gordon (Judy) Lewis, Bass River, NS; sisters-in-law Pat Lewis, Bible Hill, NS; and Linda Lewis (Gerry), Masstown, NS; and by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Kenneth; daughter-in-law Shirley Stewart; grandson Bobby Blanchard; brothers Cecil, Morris and Curtis Lewis; sisters Gertrude Tuphair, and Ethel (Freddie) Marsh. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, until Monday, then to Trinity United Church, Summerside, for funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Interment in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Valley. Visiting hours Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Memorial donations to the Prince County Hospital Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
