Kilbride - The death occurred at the Hillsborough Hospital, Charlottetown, on Saturday, December 24, 2011, of Edward Kilbride, of Summerside, aged 85 years. Veteran of the Second World War. Born in Inverness, he was the son of the late John H. and Laura Mae (MacDonald) Kilbride. Survived by his wife Erma (Arsenault) Kilbride; daughter Brenda (Bryan) Ramsay, Summerside; grandchildren Tim (Jacinta) Ramsay and Mark Ramsay; great-grandchildren Ella and Seamus; sister Gertrude Jeffery, Summerside; brother George (Eva) Kilbride, Clermont; sister-in-law Louise Kilbride; and brothers-in-law Joe Fraser, Alyre Arsenault and Oben (Donna) Arsenault. Predeceased by his brothers Cecil, Wilfred and Sterling Kilbride; sisters Mary (Ted) MacKinnon, Lucy (Greg) Mulligan and Theresa Fraser; brother-in-law Leo Jeffery; and sister-in-law Lila Arsenault. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, until Thursday, then to St. Paul's Church, Summerside, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment in St. Paul's Cemetery, Summerside. Visiting hours Wednesday from 6-9 p.m. Memorial donations to the Alzheimer’s Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. Members of the Summerside Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion will hold a service of remembrance, at the funeral home, Wednesday at 5:45 p.m.
