Burch- The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Thursday, January 26, 2012, of Donald Burch, of Summerside, aged 75 years. He was the son of the late Arthur and Ruby (Baglole) Birch, South West Lot 16. Survived by his wife of 54 years Etta (Compton) Burch; children Jim (Dianne) Burch, Fredericton, NB; George Burch, Summerside; Joan Burch (Buck Gallant), Summerside; Cathy Watson (Aaron Doyle), Summerside; grandchildren James Mallett; Christy Burch (Todd Stewart); Katie Arsenault (Thomas McSweeney); Lori Burch (Ian McDonald); Scott Watson; Tyler Doyle; great-granddaughter Bridget Stewart; brothers and sisters Myles (Florence) Birch; Gloria (Lorne) Gallant; Connie (John) Gallant; Perry Birch; Millicent Hutchinson; Ruth Brault; Colleen (Steve) Delzer; mother-in-law Margaret Compton; brothers and sisters-in-law Doris (Bob) Peterson; Violet (Lloyd) Banks; Charles Compton; Lea (Judy) Compton; and Wayne (Anne) Compton. Predeceased by his brothers Lee, Harold and Arthur Birch; sisters Edna Barlow and Agnes MacKinnon; father-in-law Reginald Compton; brothers-in-law Sterling Barlow; Herman MacKinnon; Emmett Hutchinson; Paul Brault; and by sisters-in-law Ena Birch and Bucky Birch. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, where funeral service will be held Sunday at 1:30 p.m. Interment in Peoples Cemetery, Summerside. Visiting hours Saturday from 5 - 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Palliative Care Unit of the Prince County Hospital would be appreciated.
