Ramsay – With great
sadness, the family of Priscilla Florence Ramsay, Summerside, wish to
announce her passing on Thursday, May 6, 2021. Born at Mount
Pleasant, she was the daughter of Arthur and Florence Millar and wife
of 62 years to Rev. Allison Ramsay.
Together through hard work, perseverance, and trust in the
Lord, they built a very good and happy life for their
family. Priscilla believed in hard work. At a
young age she went to work with her uncle, Dr. Stewart at his Drug
Store and when she and Allison were married they worked side by side
on the family farm in Tyne Valley. Later in life,
Allison became a minister and Priscilla supported him as a minister's
wife in Westport and Lucknow, Ontario and in Montague,
P.E.I. She took pride in all she did, be it tending to her
flowers, baking treats and serving lavish dinners or creating
beautiful quilts and knitting for family and friends. But the biggest
pride in life was her family. Priscilla was a loving mother
to Donald, Tyne Valley; Shelia (Robert Partridge), Newmarket,
Ontario; Gordon (Anne), Howlan; Geoffrey (Rev. Christine
Schulze), Summerside; Anne (Glen Hawkins), Guernsey Cove;
Elmer (Tanya), Montague. Grammie will be dearly missed by
her 15 Grandchildren and 28 Great-Grandchildren. She had boundless
energy for playing with these little ones right to the very end. She
is survived by special daughter-in-law, Frances Ramsay; and sisters
Laura Phillips, Rowena (Alton) Ramsay and Ruth (Heath)
MacLennan. She will be remembered fondly by
her nieces and nephews and her wonderful
neighbours. Her quick wit, sense of humour, kindness,
generosity and love will be missed by all who were fortunate to know
her. She was predeceased by her husband Allison; son Leigh;
daughter-in-law Beverley; and 10 of her brothers and
sisters. Resting at Moase Funeral Home, Summerside. A private
family Funeral Service will be held at the Tyne Valley Presbyterian
Church, Tyne Valley. Interment in the Tyne Valley Presbyterian Church
Cemetery. If so desired, donations can be made in her memory
to Tyne Valley Presbyterian Cemetery.
