Waite – The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Monday, December 6, 2021, of Wayne Waite, of Summerside, aged 66 years. Born in O’Leary, he was the son of the late Elton and Mae (Coulton) Waite and "Mum and Pop Coughlin". Survived by his wife Cindy (Harkness) Waite; children Chad (Carrie) Waite and Sally Waite; granddaughter Kayla Heisler; brothers Allan, Donnie (Joan), Barry (Donna) and Lloyd (Cindy) Waite; a sister Sherla (Eddie) Gallant; sisters-in-law Rev. Penny (Rev. Jim) Postlethwaite and Julie (Kenny) MacKay; and by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brothers Billy (Carol), Harold and Melvin Waite. Resting at Moase Funeral Home, Summerside. A public visitation (Vax Pass and photo id required) will be held on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. A private family funeral service (by invitation only) will be held on Friday at Trinity United Church, Summerside. Interment in Hillside Cemetery, Wellington. Memorial donations to The Children’s Wish Foundation (PEI) or the P.E.I. Humane Society would be appreciated.
