Huestis – The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Tuesday, March 15, 2022, of Gordon Huestis, of Summerside, aged 84 years. Born in Summerside, he was the son of the late Albert and Florence (Rayner) Huestis. Gordon proudly worked in his community for Irving Oil for 43 years. Survived by his wife Ane (Wedge) Huestis; son Donald (Kelly St Denis); grandchildren Breanne, Brett, Tara and Jesse; a brother and sisters, Ruth (late Mitch) Bell, Bob (Marg) and Helen (Stu) Mohler; and by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by his son Jeffrey Huestis; daughter-in-law Darlene Huestis; and by brothers Lowell (Doreen) and Derwyn (Edith) Huestis. A donation to Medical Science at the Anatomy Department of Dalhousie University has taken place. Interment will later take place at Peoples Cemetery, Summerside. A private family Celebration of Life will take place at Moase Funeral Home, Summerside. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the P.E.I. Humane Society or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
