It is with great
sadness we announce the death of our mother, Greta Anne Pike, aged 75,
at the Atlantic Baptist Nursing Home on Friday, January 20th,
2023.
Mother of Kimberley
MacDonald, Troy MacDonald, and Susanne (Stephen) Mayne; grandmother to
Jamie Sue Fraser, Kandace Fraser, Skyler Richard, Rachel MacDonald,
Duane MacDonald, Jensen Mayne, and Campbell Mayne; great grandmother
to Leah Bureau, Jayden Wagner, and Carl Fraser Fleming; sister of
Heather Pike Gaudet; sister-in-law of Linda Pike; various nieces and a
nephew; and a friend to many. Predeceased by her parents, Captain E.
R. (Ben) and Mrs. Thelma (Williams) Pike; brothers Donald Pike and
Reynolds Pike, and brother-in-law, Graham Gaudet.
Our mother
will be remembered for her warm and pleasant personality, her
beautiful smile, her infectious laugh, and her love for family and
friends. We treasure warm memories of our mother’s
motivation and commitment in the innovation of the Hospitality and
Tourism Industry of PEI, where she has been presented with various
awards on engagement and achievement in this industry.
Resting at the Moase
Funeral Home in Summerside where funeral service will be held on
Wednesday at 1030 am. Interment later in Floral Hills Memorial
Gardens, Pleasant Valley. Visiting hours on Tuesday from 6-8 pm. In
lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Alzheimer’s
Society of Prince Edward Island (Dementia Care) would be graciously
accepted. At this time, the family of Greta Pike would welcome the
opportunity to extend heartfelt gratitude to the staff of the Atlantic
Baptist Nursing Home for the excellent care provided for our
mother.
